Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1:

09:00 Pickup Service
You will be picked up at your specified location, starting the day’s exploration of Guangzhou. As the capital of Guangdong Province, Guangzhou is one of China’s most important historical and cultural cities, with deep roots in Lingnan culture. This one-day tour will guide you through the history and culture of this modern metropolis.

09:30 Huangpu Military Academy
Huangpu Military Academy, officially known as the Chinese Nationalist Party Army Officer Academy, was founded in 1924 by Sun Yat-sen, with Chiang Kai-shek serving as its first principal. The academy trained many renowned military and political figures and holds a significant place in China's modern history. The museum on the grounds contains numerous historical artifacts, offering insight into the turbulent revolutionary period. If you're interested in Chinese military history, this is a must-see. (If closed on Monday, an alternative site will be arranged.)

11:00 Tram Ride (View of Canton Tower)
Board the tram and enjoy a close-up view of the Canton Tower, China's second tallest and the world’s fifth tallest TV tower. Its graceful design, inspired by the curves of a female figure, has earned it the nickname “Xiao Man Waist” (slim waist). From the tram, you can take in the modern landscape and urban scenery along the banks of the Pearl River.

12:00 Lunch (At your own expense)
During lunch, feel free to choose from Guangzhou’s vast array of culinary delights. Known as one of China’s top food cities, Guangzhou offers a rich variety of traditional Cantonese dishes. Consider trying dim sum, roasted meats, clay pot rice, and other local specialties to experience the city's vibrant food culture.

13:00 Yongqing Fang
Yongqing Fang is a historic cultural block located in Guangzhou’s Liwan District, retaining traditional Lingnan architectural styles while integrating modern culture. It is a symbol of Lingnan culture and a reflection of the new urban Guangzhou. As you stroll through the ancient alleys, you can explore craft shops, creative spaces, and enjoy traditional Cantonese opera performances, experiencing the blend of history and modernity.

15:30 Chen Clan Ancestral Hall
Also known as the Chen Clan Academy, this ancestral temple was built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. It served as a place to honor the Chen ancestors and for clan members to study. The hall is famous for its intricate brick, wood, and stone carvings and is often referred to as the "Pearl of Lingnan architecture." Inside, you'll find numerous traditional handicrafts and artworks that showcase the rich folk culture of Lingnan. (If closed on Tuesday, an alternative site will be arranged.)

16:30 Shamian Island
Shamian Island is one of the most well-preserved Western-style architectural areas in Guangzhou. Once a concession area in the 19th century, it now boasts a variety of European-style buildings, with Gothic, Baroque, and Romanesque styles represented. Walking through the tree-lined streets, you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped into a European town, offering a peaceful escape from the bustling city.

19:00 Pearl River Night Cruise
In the evening, board a boat for a Pearl River Night Cruise, where you can take in the dazzling night views along the riverbanks. The Pearl River is the mother river of Guangzhou, and its shores are lined with towering skyscrapers and vibrant lights. You’ll pass iconic landmarks such as the Canton Tower, Xiao Man Waist, and the Liede Bridge, all illuminated in brilliant colors. It’s a perfect way to enjoy Guangzhou’s charm and serenity at night.

20:10 Return to hotel
After the cruise, you will be escorted back to your hotel, concluding a fulfilling day.

Day 2:

08:00 Pickup Service
Hotel pickup and departure for Foshan, the birthplace of Lingnan culture. Foshan is known for its rich history, traditional crafts, and famous ceramic industry, as well as for being the home of martial arts masters.

09:30 Foshan Ancestral Temple
Built during the Northern Song Dynasty, the Foshan Ancestral Temple is a historical and cultural complex that integrates Taoism, folk beliefs, and the history of Foshan. The temple is dedicated to Foshan’s protector deity, the North Emperor Zhenwu. Visitors can also enjoy exhibitions on Foshan martial arts, Cantonese opera, and local handicrafts. It is a symbol of Foshan’s cultural heritage.

11:30 Fengjian Water Village
Known as the "Pearl of Lingnan Water Villages," Fengjian Water Village has preserved its ancient water town features. With small bridges, flowing water, and green trees lining the riverbanks, the village exudes poetic charm. You can take a boat ride to explore the scenic waterway and experience the tranquility of traditional rural life.

12:00 Lunch (At your own expense)
For lunch, you can sample local specialties from Foshan. Foshan cuisine is part of Cantonese cuisine, and you might enjoy classic Shunde dishes or local snacks like fish sashimi and double-skin milk custard.

14:00 Qinghui Garden
One of Foshan’s four famous gardens, Qinghui Garden was built during the Ming Dynasty. This Lingnan-style garden features meticulous architectural design, peaceful courtyards, ponds, rockeries, and long corridors. It is a fine representation of Lingnan gardening art and reflects the elegant lifestyle and cultural aspirations of the ancient scholar-gentry.

15:30 Shunfengshan Archway
Shunfengshan Archway is the largest in Foshan and one of the largest in China, standing at 28 meters tall and 88 meters wide. The magnificent archway, with its intricate craftsmanship, symbolizes traditional Chinese culture. The surrounding Shunfengshan Park offers a scenic environment, perfect for relaxation and enjoyment.
